Murat Akturk, Senior Growth & Partnerships Leader at GE HealthCare, discusses why AI adoption in healthcare is hindered not by technology but by data accessibility, workflow challenges, and lack of ROI. He shares insights on building successful corporate-startup partnerships, the importance of trust over technology, and why operational AI and agentic AI represent the future of European healthcare.

What we learned

  1. 1 You need to define the win before you start a partnership. If you deliver value and show that you are there to deliver something together, helping them, making their life easier and faster, then they start working with you. Build the credibility, build the trust—trust is really making sure that you think for your customers, you think for the value and you are not selfish. The relationships that you build and invest in and the trust that you create is not replicable easily. The world doesn't reward the smartest people; it rewards the people who can take risks and fail but continue on the journey. Don't invest only on the software part; try to couple it with hardware, a tangible thing in the industry that makes a device or hardware better so that it works better end to end.
